What services do you offer?
Deck building, repair and restoration; drywall repair and installation; flooring (luxury vinyl plank, hardwood, engineered and laminate); gazebos and pergolas; handyman work; and interior remodeling such as basements and bathrooms.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Sexton Home Improvement & Repairs is fully insured, veteran-owned and family-run, and we build to local code with permits and inspections handled for you.
Do you offer free estimates?
We do. Call (815) 451-2014 or request one online and we'll get you a free, no-pressure estimate — usually the same business day.
How much will my project cost?
It depends on scope, materials, and site conditions, which is why we visit and give you a clear, itemized estimate up front. No surprises and no pressure.
Can you fix work another contractor did poorly?
Yes — it's a common request. We've brought decks up to code that repeatedly failed city inspection, and we regularly repair or finish work that was left incomplete or done wrong.
Do you take small jobs?
Gladly. A small drywall patch or a short handyman list gets the same care as a full deck build — that's how we earn the next call.
How soon can you start?
It depends on the season and the size of the project. Reach out and we'll give you a realistic timeline. Decks are busiest in spring and summer; interior work fills the fall and winter.
What are your hours?
